We Are But A Moment checks all of those boxes. No matter the topic, I enjoy novels that can work me over: make me think, challenge me to keep up with the pace (whether fast or slow), cause me to gasp out loud, and shock me into furrowing my brow more than once. I unreservedly recommend that everyone discover for themselves what Ulrich Baer means by that and strap in for quite the ride while doing so. We ARE but a moment, and that moment just may be now.
